Or so we thought...

Apparently I spoke too soon. Kimberly and I headed to Baylor Hospital this morning around 2 a.m. after her water had broken about 11 p.m. earlier that evening. She was in labor from about 1 a.m. until 9:25 a.m. central time when our daughter was born by natural birth. It just so happened that Kimberly's doctor was at the hospital with another patient when we walked in, so that was nice. Mom did a great job pushing, and Dad helped somewhat.

Both mom and SKB are doing great! SKB's already eating like a Byrum and for the most part has been a quiet and contented little thing. Kimberly still has some pain and is tired, but otherwise is feeling good. SKB was 18 inches long and 5 lbs, 7 oz. at birth. Here are a few pics, I took about 25 or so. Her room is basically finished, but the house is still in disarray from the bathroom remodel. More info later, we'll probably be coming home on Tuesday morning!

Alex and Kimberly,
I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! She is absolutely gorgeous and I can not wait to meet her! Tell Susan Kate that I'm still looking for the infamous "Guess outfit" and I'll send it as soon as it's located. She will want to wear it this summer!
