Bridgett the Panda

A package arrived from Mimi and Gator today. They sent me a Panda and matching bib from the San Diego Zoo with a note promising to take me to the zoo anytime I want! We named the panda, Bridgett after one of mommy's friends who lives in San Diego and just LOVES pandas!

Big Girl Chair

Susan Kate practiced sitting in a high chair all last week. Notice her cute pink camo high chair cover which blended right in at Luling City Market in Central Texas. We both hope she has the same love for barbecue that her mom and dad do!

All this sitting was in preparation for...eating!!! Susan Kate had her first rice cereal meal on Sunday night.

Gulf of Mexico (Galveston, Texas)

Susan Kate was baptized in the Gulf of Mexico last week. As you can see from the picture, she wasn't too thrilled about it. We also visited Moody Gardens and she loved watching the stingrays swim up to the window. It was a much needed vacation for mom and dad. No worries, Tropical Depression Erin went right over us.

Visiting

Susan Kate has had visitors the past couple weeks. She gets to see her cousin Rebecca pretty often, and this weekend her Grandma Sue was in town, so Rebecca came over to play twice, and we all went to the pool one evening and had a fun time. It's been hot in Dallas lately, so we've got to stay cool at the pool. SKB and RSF with Uncle Marky.
This is Susan Kate's "Uncle" Nate. He's Dad's oldest friend, and since he has no siblings, he may not be an uncle to anyone anytime soon. He was in Arkansas and drove down to visit and see SKB. We enjoyed seeing him and hope to get to Virignia Beach to visit he and his wife, Erin.

New Toy

SKB got a new toy. It's a jumper! And consequently, she's a jumper. She jumps and watches mom and dad make dinner. She'll spend 15 minutes jumping up and down, giggling and screaming with glee. She is so cute when she gets going, she doesn't like to stop jumping up and down!
