Christmas Day

Here are a few pictures on Christmas Day. SKB wasn't really sure what was going on but she was a good sport. She also got to eat at Craft at the new W Dallas Hotel. What a treat!

Christmas Trips

This is a picture of SKB with her great grandmother, F. SKB traveled to Lubbock for 5.5 hours in the car. She did fairly well for her first trip to the South Plains. She was able to meet her second cousin, Jacob.

This is SKB before our Christmas Eve service at church. The new pastor had the kids come up to the front and read the Christmas story. SKB cannot wait until she can go up there, too!

Party Time

SKB went to a wedding and did some shopping this past weekend in Houston. Here are some pictures from her trip.

New Dog - Max

SKB has a new dog. His name is Max. He is a 3 and a half year old Lab we rescued from the pound.

Max is a good dog so far, we need to get a little bit more cooperation with the cats, but it will come soon. He likes to nap, play in the backyard and go for walks. We've been working with a trainer to fine tune his obedience skills.

He and SKB get along well, and here are a few pics.

New Car Seat

SKB went to the Dr.'s office for her 9 month check up on Friday. She weighed in at a petite 17 lbs, 5 ozs. SKB was pronouced big enough for a big girl car seat, so she got one.

It's still pretty big, but that means she has plenty of space to stretch out. Here are a couple pictures with the car seat on our way out this evening.

The knit hat was made by Sophia's mom, Laura. It's very cute.

and finally, it got cold in Texas, so we were able to break out the fur coat, it's still a bit big for her, but oh so stylish with the zebra stripe pants! We had to take it off so we could fit her in her car seat.

More Costume Madness

Susan Kate had a party last weekend, in preparation for Halloween. Her mom invited her friends over and they all dressed up in costumes. We had a pumpkin, a penguin, a ballerina, a lion and SKB was a black kitty cat. Everyone had a great time as you can see below.
Susan Kate and her cousin, Rebecca, went with their mom's to a big party at church on Halloween night, since they were too little to Trick-or-Treat this year. Due to the fact that SKB's costume was really warm, she ditched it in favor of her pumpkin shirt. They enjoyed crawling around on the gym floor and playing all the games that had been set up for them.

Updates

We've had lots going on the past few weeks since the blog was updated. SKB's family came to visit, including her Great Grandmother F. You can see where SKB gets her pretty blue eyes and fair complexion.

Haute Couture

We went to our school picnic this morning. It was fun, Mom and Dad met some of the other parents and SKB got to play some. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures at the picnic, but we did snap some shots afterward of SKBs outfit in the front yard. She definately looks good when her Mom dresses her for an outing. SKB really loves Mom for her fashion sense!

Wednesday Afternoon

We played on Wednesday afternoon. SKB has 2 exer-saucers, one activity table, and myriad other toys. Mom and Dad had a good time. We played until SKB decided it was time to nap.
